NICOLAS JAAR LIVE (clown and sunset, W+L, circus company, NY)
Nicolas Jaar was born in NY but quickly relocated to Santiago de Chile in the 90s only to come back to his birth place as a teenager. Haunted by Mulatu Astatke and Erik Satie, Nico started to make organic electronic music in 2004 at the age of 14. At 17, he made his debut with “The Student EP” on Wolf and Lamb Music with a remix by Seth Troxler who called him ” one of the most talented minds dance music is about to see develop”. At 18, he continued producing and played live at Club Der Visionaire and Arena in Berlin, at the Marcy in Brooklyn, at Communikey in Colorado and at Mutek in Mexico City. Now 19, studying at Brown University in Rhode Island, Nico has releases coming up on Circus Company, Wolf + Lamb and on his own label, Clown and Sunset (www.clownandsunset.com) of which he is the owner and founder.

JOHN OVERFIEND (Hej, Source Audio, Detroit)
John Overfiend, a nomad since birth, spent much of his younger years moving throughout New England. Eventually breaking away from the east coast he found himself living in the mid western city of Detroit. Completely unaware of the existence of electronic music and the underground dance scene, it seemed fate had led him to the birthplace techno. In 2006, with the formation of Hej Records, John Overfiend and Punisher are now spreading their musical experience worldwide. Most recently the Hej label joined forces with one of Detroit’s premiere sound companies, Source Audio Systems, which will provide the sound for this Souvenir party.

DINO G (2 Red Belts, Spybar, Chicago)
As a DJ, producer and business owner, Dino G combines his tech-house talent with a knack for turning the entertainment industry on ear. For nearly a decade, he has made a mission of not only bringing premiere underground dance acts to Chicago, Ibiza and beyond, but also playing alongside them on an international stage. When not performing on the decks, Dino G handles business as co-owner of Chicago’s acclaimed Spybar, hosting the venue’s weekly friday party and showcasing a slew of heavy-hitting, electronic music driven talent. The summer 2009 launch of his tech-house label “2 Red Belts” with Spybar partner Garrett Belschner features his originals tracks as well as releases from some of tech house’s most respected artists. Additionally, he continues serving as Spybar’s talent buyer while marketing, managing and promoting club events.

DAVID YANG (Good morning hours, Chicago)
Born in Queens and raised on the hard streets of a New Jersey suburb, David Yang is a classically trained cellist turned selector who has taken his painstakingly developed understanding of music from in front of a conductor to behind the decks. Just as humans rarely have the opportunity to observe a bird of paradise’s kaleidoscopic array of mating-dance plumage, only a lucky few have experienced Dave’s party-generating aural displays. These exhibitions have usually taken place during good morning hours or early evening warm-up sets. By keeping a steady regimen of full-body workouts and living room practice sets, Dave hopes to hone his DJ skillz and wow his audiences with his zen-like control of the vibe.

really looking forward to this one.
